Games that teach something real.

Manoi Studios is a small game studio in Lenexa, Kansas. We make arcade games that teach real skills, like reading a new alphabet or typing without looking. No ads, and no tracking.

Our promises

No ads.

Nobody pays us to put things in front of your kids. We'll make our money by selling games, books and toys. That's the whole plan.

No tracking.

No analytics, no ad networks, nothing following you around the internet. This website doesn't even use cookies.

Kids welcome, safely.

Kids under 13 never get accounts of their own. A parent adds them as young players, with made-up names, no chat and nothing to buy.

Script Fall

Learn to read and type other writing systems by playing arcade games.

Twelve languages, from Thai and Japanese to Korean, Russian and Hindi, taught one character at a time across 25 original arcade games. Type the letters on screen to catch them, sort them, pop them and save the day.

There's a story mode, too: a brave puppy named Manoi sets out to bring home every letter in the land after a cat with a very twirly mustache steals them all. Plus a daily challenge, flash cards and study tools for when you want to practice.

What we're making next

  • Up next

    Home Row Hounds

Touch-typing for English on a regular QWERTY keyboard, for kids and grown-ups. Made with families and homeschoolers in mind, and someday classrooms.

  • Planned

A mouse arcade (name to come)

Script Fall's cast and games, aimed with a mouse. Pointing, clicking, double-clicking and dragging, for kids who met tablets before computers.

  • On the drawing board

    Clockwork Kennel

Build a robot pup's brain out of logic tiles, wind it up and let it loose. Programming you can see.

  • On the drawing board

    Kibble Kingdoms

A dog-themed empire game with a real bank. Borrow and pay interest, or save and watch compound interest do its magic.

Beyond the screen

The Stolen Letters, the picture book

Script Fall's story as a picture book for reading aloud, ages 3 to 7. Every page hides a letter to find.

In the works

Plush toys and T-shirts

Manoi, Princess Fah, Yai, Mr. Pesar and friends, to hug or to wear, in grown-up and kids' sizes.

Who's behind this

Manoi Studios is one person: me, Jeremy Kissell. I've worked in IT for 30 years, and I make games in Lenexa, Kansas.

When my son Jaden was born, I wanted him to grow up able to read more than one alphabet, and to have games his mom would approve of. Script Fall came first. The rest are on the way.

"Manoi" means "small dog" in Thai. It's also the name of Script Fall's hero, a puppy with a very big job.

I build the games with help from Claude, an AI made by Anthropic. Every game, song and character is original, written from scratch.
